“Pop Chronicles” is the solo album by Chris Coyle celebrating the sound and love for Power Pop, The Beatles, The Monkees, and The Beach Boys. The album will feature original songs, co-writes, and 2 Monkees covers, “Sunny Girlfriend” and “Circle Sky” from the movie HEAD. Both Monkees covers were produced by Seth Romano.

Alan Abrams, currently fronting the power pop band Quiet Sunday, co -wrote 2 songs with Chris Coyle. “Had Enough” featuring a jangle electric, backed with a wall of sound featuring Beach Boys style harmonies by a young 17-year-old wunderkind , Justin Reinstein . The 2nd song, “One to One” is a straight ahead 1965 Beatles like track.

Chris pays tribute to 2 big musical heroes on the album, George Harrison and Brian Wilson. “My Dark Horse” is a song that was written following the death of George in 2001. The song features a hypnotic bongo and hi-hat beat, with acoustic guitar, bass and piano.

“Dear Brian”, a tribute to Brian Wilson, was written and recorded one year before Brian finished and released his long-lost masterpiece SMiLE. “Dear Brian”, also features Beach Boys style harmonies by Justin Reinstein.

Other original written and performed songs include “Anne Marie”, “Unconditional Soul”, “There is a Rose”, “Little Pop Girl” and “Wishing Well.
